Thankful for me my roommate is a huge Nebraska fan so he asked me to swap between the Angels playoff game and the Cornhuskers game, Boy am I glad I did. When the 4th quarter started it looked as if Missouri had this game in the bag. Nebraska was down 12-0 and with them unable to drive the ball all game things were looking bleak. Then the defense stepped up as they have all year. Two interceptions quickly turned into 2 Zac Lee touchdown passes.

The Cornhuskers ran up 27 points in the 4th quarter. Three touchdowns coming off Zac Lee passes and one coming from a Roy Helu Jr. run. The only downside to this game is it looks like Helu Jr hurt his shoulder on the final drive of the game.

This was one of the greatest comebacks I have ever seen in college football. On the final Missouri drive it seemed like the refs wanted to keep it close with a handful of ludicrous call against Nebraska, but Nebraska held. Nebraska won 27-12. They improved to 4-1 overall.

All anyone is talking about right now is if Tim Tebow will play. I will only touch on this once, if Tebow plays Florida wins. If he doesn’t LSU has a good chance.

That said LSU has been pretty pitiful on offense this year. Two weeks ago they barely escaped a loss against Mississippi State. This past weekend they got lucky on an excessive celebration penalty from A.J. Green of Georgia. That setup a 33 yard run by Charles Scott for the win.

While they are averaging 135 yards a week on the ground they are only passing for 182 yards a week. They are only averaging 27 points a game on the year. The reason they have been able to win games with such an anemic offense is their defense. Watching the Georgia game last week I finally got to see this defense. I would say it is among the top 5 in the country. They are only allowing opponents 17 points a game through the first 5.

Florida on the other hand isn’t looking like the national championship teams of the past. They have only really had one tough test and it was against a team that should have tested them. They let Tennessee keep with them the whole game.

If we are judging this game on numbers alone Florida should stomp LSU into the ground on Saturday night. If they were playing in Gainesville I would go with that, but they are playing a night game at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. The home crowd there gives their team a huge advantage.

This weekend unfortunately for Florida I don’t think Tebow plays and I think LSU wins despite only scoring 21 points.
